Easter Egg Scramble at Crab Cove

Roughly 200 children of all ages and their parents attended the 2008 Spring Egg Scramble this morning at Crab Cove in Alameda. The event was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Alameda, the East Bay regional Park District and the Alameda Recreation and Park Department. At 11:30am sharp, the horn blew and the ropes fell, and children descended upon the lawns of Robert Crown Memorial park to clean up candy faster than Canada Geese can eat grass. Many parents and children then went on to enjoy a beautiful day in the park, and exploring the mudflats at low tide.
