Parking Enforcement Revenues Offset Parking Revenue Shortfall

At last week’s City Council meeting, council heard how parking enforcement revenues are making up for a shortfall in parking fee revenues at the Alameda Civic Center Parking Structure.

Redevelopment Services Director and California Redevelopment Association Board Member Leslie Little gave the report to council. Parking revenues at the Civic Center garage are stablizing – under projections – at $6,500 per month. Enforcement revenues across the business district, thanks to two new part-time enforcement technicians, are up and are offsetting the lower-than-projected parking revenues.
