Marijuana as Medicine: The Science and The Law
Dr. Hergenrather is president of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. In private practice he has monitored cannabis use by more than 1,700 patients. He will discuss what scientists know about how and why compounds in cannabis relieve a wide range of symptoms. Robert Raich was active in the campaign to enact California’s medica marijuana initiative (Prop 215) and worked on the legislation to implement it (SB-420). He will discuss current political and legal issues facing the medical marijuana movement.
