Within the past week, Protect the Point has taken out ads in the newspaper calling on Alameda City Council members to declare a position, for or against, on SunCal’s Alameda Point Revitalization Initiative, and the Alameda Chamber of Commerce has announced a “no” position on the initiative. Why would anyone support SunCal/DE Shaw’s initiative knowing that
the city manager has said “it is not in the best interest of Alameda.”
Why, oh why, would anyone even think of supporting this initiative?
Any politician who supports it should be run out of town.
