On Tuesday, 20, 2009, at a Special Joint Meeting of the City Council, Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority (ARRA), and the Community Improvement Commission (CIC), Mayor Beverly Johnson announced the new members, for three of the City’s Commission boards.
For Alameda’s Park and Recreation Commission, Michael B. Cooper and Terri Bertero Ogden have been reappointed. Cooper and Ogden will serve on the Commission for another four years. Their terms will end on Sept. 2013.
For the Commission on Disability issues, the Mayor has appointed Nielsen Tam. Tam’s term will end on June 30, 2013.
The Library Board’s new member is Susan Whyte. Whyte’s term will end on June 30, 2013, as well. However, the Mayor has issued a special stipulation. Once Whyte’s term is over, Whyte will stay on the board until a successor is appointed.
