The folks behind “The Revitalization,” who previously brought forth a video with audio recordings of SunCal’s paid signature gatherers mis-leading voters, have released a Christmas-themed video encouraging voters to vote “no” on Measure B on February 2, 2010.
The video includes animated text set to the music of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and is called “Escape Clause is Coming to Town.”
The description of the video on YouTube explains:
The biggest escape clause: “Nothing in this Development Agreement is intended to create any affirmative development obligations to develop the Alameda Point Project at all or in any particular order or manner, or liability in Developer under this Development Agreement if the development fails to occur.”

This is simply wonderful! I guess the Grinch is copyrighted, or I would have expected him to be included as the personification of SUNCAL and DESHAW and holding the written 288 pages of the Escape Clause while living in a mansion in Beverly Hills!
