On Saturday, March 27th, Jessica Robinson, who is competing again this year as Miss Alameda for Miss California USA, will hold a fundraiser event at Rock Wall Wine Company at Alameda Point. A portion of the proceeds go to Haiti Relief and Children’s Miracle Network.
The event will be held in Rock Wall’s new geodesic event dome, with views of San Francisco and the Bay. Local radio personalities will make appearances, and the event will feature live music from Peggy Day and Garth O’Brian from Peggy Day and the Gypsy Nights, featuring Miss Alameda on vocals in Lady Atlas.
Miss Alameda, who is competing for Miss California USA on a platform of environmental sustainability, has also secured the support of local vendors and agencies who will provide interactive booths on environmental sustainability and recycling. Previously, Miss Alameda has said “I think California should be a leader in green technology and sustainable energy research and I am championing that cause.” Miss Alameda will donate a portion of funds raised to Children’s Miracle Network.
The Rock Wall Wine Company will provide a no-host wine tasting bar, and a portion of proceeds from wine sales will go to Haiti Relief.
The event runs from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, March 27th. tickets are $10 at the door for adults, $5 for children. Raffle tickets are $1, or $20 for an “arms-length” of tickets.
