Widow Offers Reward in Last Year’s Bay Farm Island Slaying

The Alameda Police Department announced yesterday that Julie Vinall, the widow of Darin Vinall, found dead in his Parfait Lane home last December, is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible for Darin Vinall’s death.

Responding to a “welfare check” on December 2, 2009, at around 9:00 p.m., Alameda PD found Darin Gregory Vinall dead in his residence from an apparent gunshot wound. Police classified the death as a homicide.

Now, Vinall’s widow is offering the reward. Additionally, Ray Vinall and Gail Riddle, parents of the victim, are personally offering a second, separate reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.

Anyone with information that may help solve the crime can call 510-TEL-A-COP (510-835-2267).
