Alameda Police Make Arrest in Brush and Second Street Shooting

The Alameda Police Department said this morning that they have made an arrest in a June 1 shooting in the city’s west-end.

Alameda Police say that on Monday evening they took a suspect, Theodore Jerome LeBlanc, 28, into custody in Emeryville. LeBlanc, police say, was located by the San Francisco Police Department in response to an inter-agency flyer sent out by Alameda PD in mid-June. Alameda Police credit the Oakland Police Department’s intelligence unit for helping identify the alleged shooter.

Police are treating the shooting as an assault with a deadly weapon.
