PG&E to Co-Host Meeting on Gas Smart Meters This Wednesday

Pacific Gas and Electric and the City of Alameda are co-hosting a “drop-in” meeting at the Mastick Senior Center this Wednesday, June 30th, for Alameda residents to learn or express concerns about “smart” gas meters.

Apparently hoping to head-off any confusion, Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) issued a press release last week announcing the meeting; AMP, a City-owned utility provides electricity to Alameda residents, but not natural gas. AMP is not installing smart electrical meters at this time.

Those planning to attend the PG&E meeting at the Mastick should take a copy of their PG&E gas bill with them, and the discussion will be limited to gas meters.

Smart Gas Meters Meeting
Wednesday, June 30th
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Mastick Senior Center
1155 Santa Clara Avenue
Alameda, CA 94501
