Horst Breuer of Alameda’s Economic Development Commission has told Action Alameda News that he has pulled papers and intends to run for Alameda City Council this November.
Mr. Breuer told Action Alameda News that his motto is “With the people. For the people.” and that if elected he will work to “do what’s right for the citizens of Alameda” and focus on fiscal responsibility for the City. Breuer says that he has already made progress at gathering the requisite number of supporters to sign their names in support.

Congratulations to Horst, and welcome to the race! I look forward to discussing the issues of the campaign with you.
Also, yesterday, I filed my qualifying papers with the City, and I am now officially the first candidate registered to appear on the November ballot for Alameda City Council!
