Winter Events for Children from Alameda Recreation and Park Department

Alameda’s Recreation and Park Department has a number of events scheduled for kids of all ages through December.

9th Annual Continental Breakfast with Santa
Saturday, December 11, 2010
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Albert H. DeWitt O’Club (641 West Redline Avenue, Alameda Point)
$10.00 (ages 13 years and up)
$5.00 (ages 2 to 12 years)
FREE for children under 2 years
Join Santa and his helpers for a variety of breakfast treats, and decorate a gingerbread man cookie.

Register by Friday, December 3rd. No walk-in registrations. Space limited to 200 people.

Elves Workshop
Tuesday to Friday, December 14-17, 2010
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
$72.00 per child (ages 3 to 5 years)
A holiday program for pre-Kindergarten children. Make holiday treats, sing songs and play games. Children must be able to separate from parents and must be potty trained.

There are three locations to choose from: Godfrey Center (281 Beach Road), Leydecker Center (3225 Mecartney Road), or McKinley Center (2165 Buena Vista Avenue). Space is limited. Pre-Register by Wednesday, December 8th.

Winter Wonderland Camp
Monday – Thursday, December 20-23, 2010 (Session 1)
Monday – Thursday, December 27-30, 2010 (Session 2)
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Harrison Center @ Lincoln Park, 1450 High Street
$100.00 per child
A holiday camp for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Arts and crafts, games, drama, music and cooking and more.

Extended care is available starting at 7:30 a.m. and until 5:30 p.m.; the additional cost is $40.00 per week. Pre-Register by Friday, December 10th.
