Gee I wonder why all the detail on the proposed closed session items? Who is the SUNCAL trio going to fire this week?

My bet is that under Item 3-A the Council will vote to hire Meyers Nave to defend whatever the cases are about. (Failure to give Gallant and Highsmith the 24 hours notice and right to participate (as required by the Government Code) in the closed session meetings in which they were put on administrative leave, a form of discipline????)

My bet is that under Items 3-B, 3-C and 3-D will be a vote to switch law firms on existing cases to law firms who will make Gilmore, Bonta and Tam happy. Anyone who knows anything about the practice of law will tell you that switching firms in an ongoing case can cost anywhere from $20,000 to $75,000 for the new attorneys to read the files, do legal research, etc. to “get up to speed”. So if there is a law firm switch, Alameda taxpayers will have more to complain about, in terms of waste.
