Local chapter of Toastmasters, an non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills, says it has a history of match-making.
The club normally meets on Monday evenings, and this year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday. The club is inviting members of the public to attend a Valentine’s Day-themed meeting on February 14th with food, decorations and topical speeches. There is no cost to attend, and you don’t have to give a speech.
The club says that long-time members Mari Clark and Bill Meyn met at a Toastmasters meeting in 1985 and were married at Lake Tahoe in 1992 during a Toastmasters weekend regional conference.
