Miss Alameda, Jessica Robinson, Wraps-up Filming for “Recycle Woman,” Moves on to Editing

Local actress Jessica Robinson has completed principal photography for her short film “Recycle Woman,” which was shot at various locations around Alameda. Robinson has competed in the Miss California USA pageant as Miss Alameda.

Robinson told Action Alameda news that shooting wrapped up earlier this month, and the production has moved on to editing. Alameda Mayor Marie Gilmore filmed a cameo appearance at Alameda City Hall, as did the Alameda Police Department and Fire Department Chiefs.

The production recently received a grant of $2,700 from the Northern California Recycling Association, to help complete the film. “Now we have a full budget, and we hope to have the movie complete by Earth Day,” said Robinson. She’s also aiming to hold a red carpet release party for the finished film at the Alameda Theater.
