Jessica Robinson, an Alameda resident and actor who has participated multiple times in the Miss California USA pageant as “Miss Alameda,” will participate this year in the “Real Crown Champion: Ms. and Mrs. Orange County Regional Pageant” which raises funds for the Susan G Komen for the Cure foundation, which fights breast cancer. Robinson was was called by pageant organizers and invited to participate.
Accepting the invitation, Robinson said, “It has been an honor to participate in the Miss California USA pageant these past two years, and it has been a blessing to represent the City of Alameda in such a prestigious pageant. The experience has allowed me to grow in character and integrity, which I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I promise to keep giving back to the community, and to work with local businesses and my sponsors. My programs will continue, such as Miss Alameda Says Compost, MASC, which is expanding. And I will continue to support the youth and the schools with the Green School’s Challenge Program. Representing Alameda has brought meaning and direction in my life that coincide with my dreams and goals of being active in helping people and the environment, as well as making a real difference in people’s lives.”
The Real Crown Champion Orange County pageant will be held August 6th, 2011 at the Huntington Beach Historic Auditorium in Huntington Beach, California.
