Restoration Advisory Board Meeting, September 1, 2011

The Naval Air Station Alameda Restoration Advisory Board, a joint Navy and public body overseeing the remediation of the former naval base, now Alameda Point, will meet again at 6:30 p.m. on September 1, in the Community Conference room at City Hall West at 950 West Mall Square.

The public may attend and comment at these meetings.

The main agenda item for next week’s meeting will be a feasibility study for an area known as Operable Unit-2C, or OU-2C, located roughly in the center of Alameda Point.

Navy documents indicate the site was a former aircraft rework facility contaminated with volatile organic compounds (VOC), heavy metals and radium.
