AC Transit Redistricting Process Underway

Federal and state laws mandate that the Alameda-Contra Cost Transit District (AC Transit) review and adjust its ward boundaries every 10 years following the completion of the federal census, in order to equalize the population in the wards. The agency is holding a series of public meetings through October to work through the adjustment.

The meeting dates, times and locations are as follows:

October 17, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Hayward City Hall, 777 B Street, Conference Room 2A, Hayward, CA
October 20, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Bayfair Mall Community Room, 15555 E. 14th Street, San Leandro, CA
October 24, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – North Berkeley Senior Center, 1901 Hearst Avenue, Berkeley, CA
October 27, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – AC Transit General Offices, 2nd Floor Board Room, 1600 Franklin Street, Oakland, CA
