Magnitude 3.6 Earthquake in Berkeley Shakes Alameda

Alameda residents got a rude awakening this morning when a magnitude 3.6 earthquake, centered in Berkeley, struck at 5:37 a.m. The United States Geological Service pegged the quake at 6 miles deep and 6 miles north north-west of Oakland.
