Update: As of 9:30 a.m., 11/11/11, Alameda City Clerk Lara Weisiger advised that 11 couples had requested civil ceremonies for November 11th.
As previously reported, the City of Alameda is offering to perform civil wedding ceremonies tomorrow, on November 11, 2011, so that newlyweds can score a wedding date of 11-11-11.
The City says it received numerous inquiries about ceremonies for this date, and is using it as an opportunity to launch a newly expanded wedding service.
Ceremonies begin tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
Couples looking to be married tomorrow should call the City Clerk’s office today at 510-747-4805 to reserve a time slot.
