The last transbay bus from San Francisco to the East Bay until Tuesday night will leave at 8:30 p.m. tomorrow night, in advance of the Bay Bridge closure.
The westbound deck of the Bay Bridge will be closed through the weekend as CalTrans makes modifications to accommodate the new eastern span. The bridge is expected to re-open by Tuesday morning.
The last transbay bus to use the bridge before Tuesday will be the AC Transit NXC line leaving the San Francisco terminal at 8:30 p.m.
Transbay buses will detour to the West Oakland BART station during the closure. Late night Line 800 buses will operate to and from the Oakland 12th Street BART station. But there is no BART service between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
AC Transit offices will be closed on Monday, February 20th, in observance of Presidents’ Day; buses will operate on Sunday schedules.
Alameda police are also advising residents to expect additional traffic in the vicinity of Alameda’s two ferry boat terminals. Both services at the Main St. and Bay Farm Island terminals plan to offer additional service through the weekend. Watch for postings by City of Alameda Public Works at the Bay Farm island terminal.
