Median Home Prices in Alameda County Dropped in January

According to data released today by the California Association of Realtors, median home prices in Alameda County dropped 9 percent from the same month a year ago.

For January 2012, the median home price in Alameda County was $395,830, down 12 percent from December 2011, and down 9 percent from January 2011, when the median price was $435,110. Sales were up 10.7 percent year-over-year, however.
