Delivery Service Fills Pot Hole in Alameda

Following the shutdown of the Purple Elephant medical marijuana dispensary on Webster Street, and controversy over a new dispensary in Oakland in the vicinity of the High Street bridge comes word of a collective that offers to deliver to Alameda.

On a “find your bud” medicinal marijuana dispensary locating website, the Greenline Collective promises new patients a free 1/8th ounce of pot with a purchase of 1/2 ounce or more; the locator map includes a marker for the collective placed in Alameda. According to the website, the collective serves San Leandro and Hayward as well.

Action Alameda News tried to reach the collective by e-mail, but it bounced back, saying their mailbox was full, potentially an indicator of high demand.

Reached by phone, a man at the collective named Taylor said, “We aren’t based in Alameda. We don’t want to be in the newspaper, we don’t want any publicity.”
