The westbound deck of the San Francisco Bay Bridge re-opened at 7:00 p.m. Sunday night, 34 hours ahead of schedule.
The westbound lanes of the bridge closed at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening to allow CalTrans to complete work that adjusted the westbound approach southward, to facilitate ongoing work on the Oakland touchdown of the new eastern span of the bridge.
Westbound drivers should be aware that the highway curves gently to the south on the approach to the bridge now; the shift will stay in effect until the new bridge is completed in 2013.
Speed limits remain the same.
