Police Make Arrest for Narcotics, Weapons

Alameda Police say that on Sunday, a 22 year-old Alameda man was arrested for possessing an illegal weapon and cocaine, marijuana and hydrocodone, in the process of a traffic stop. The man arrested was the driver of the car.

The traffic stop occurred on the 1600 block of Walnut Street. Subsequent to the stop, Alameda Police obtained a warrant and searched the man’s home on the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue, where they discovered more narcotics (methamphetamine, hydrocodone and ecstasy) and a large sum of cash. Police say the man held all of the drugs for sale and that he will face numerous felony charges.

Police did not release the man’s name with their announcement.
