City Asks for Proposals for Website Redesign

The City of Alameda has issued a request for proposals to design a new website.

According to the call-for-proposals document, “The goal is to have a cost-effective, architecturally sound website that is easy to use and maintain yet flexible enough to support future upgrades and initiatives.”

A new website design was previously launched just over a year ago. Former Interim City Manager Ann Marie Gallant took criticism for using an out-of-state firm for that effort. The current call-for-proposals document indicates no preference for in-state or local firms.

Proposals must be received by the Alameda City Manager’s Office no later than May 31, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. via mail, email or in-person.
