Artemis Racing to Prepare for America’s Cup in Alameda

Artemis Racing, representing the Royal Swedish Yacht Club, will prepare for next year’s 34th America’s Cup in Alameda.

The City of Alameda announced yesterday that the team will be leasing a 110,000 square foot former airplane hangar as its base of operations at Alameda Point.

“Alameda offers convenient shoreline water access to our racing grounds in San Francisco Bay immediately next to large industrial warehouse space. It is a turn-key option which will allow us to operate efficiently and immediately in 2012. We all look forward to settling in for this season and making the most of the facility,” said Paul Cayard, CEO of Artemis Racing.
