Shootings in Alameda Yesterday

Yesterday was a violent day in Alameda, with at least two shootings, one on Webster Street and another on Orion Street.

Alameda Police released this summary, below, this morning and are asking anyone with more information to call the Anonymous Hot-Line at 510/835-2267.

#12-3377 Assault with a Deadly Weapon
On June 10, 2012 2:21pm, the Alameda Police Department received multiple calls of shots fired in the 2700 block of Orion Street. The preliminary investigation indicated an adult male suspect shot at an adult male victim during a verbal dispute. There were no injuries. The suspect subsequently fled in a vehicle. An extensive area check was completed, however the suspect was not found. The investigation is on-going.

#12-3378 Attempted Homicide
On June 10, 2012 4:00pm, the Alameda Police Department responded to the report of a male with a gunshot wound in the 1900 block of Webster Street. The preliminary investigation indicated an adult male suspect shot an adult male victim; the motive is not known. The victim sustained a non life threatening injury and was treated a local hospital. An extensive area check was completed, however the suspect was not found. The investigation is on-going.

#12-3376 Strong Armed Robbery
On June 10, 2012 1:53 pm, an adult female victim was walking in the 2200 block of Lincoln Avenue, using a personal electronic device. An adult male suspect confronted the victim, attempted to take the device, but was unsuccessful. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled on foot. The victim sustained a minor injury. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 19 years-old, 5’3”, 120 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. An extensive area check was completed, however the suspect was not found.
