Police Arrest Suspect in Strongarm Robbery

Alameda Police arrested a man in Oakland today on suspicion of strongarm robbery of the Lucky supermarket at Marina Village earlier this month.

According to police, on July 14th, at around 9:00 p.m., two adult men loaded a shopping cart with merchandise inside the story and one of them pushed it into the manager as she was locking the doors. One of the men twisted the manager’s wrist to get her out of his way, and then the two men drove away with the merchandise without paying for it.

In their investigation, Alameda police identified one of the men, and conducted a probation search at his Oakland home this morning. The man was arrested for robbery.

Police did not release the name of the man.
