The City of Alameda will remove and replace a portion of the seawall along the lagoon at the southern-most end of Walnut Street.
Nearby residents will endure pile driving, dust, noise and the loss of four on-street parking spaces.
The new seawall will be a concrete wall topped with a chain link fence.
The replacement is funded by the City of Alameda’s Urban Runoff Clean Water Program.
