Rent Increase Survey

Coastal Cleanup Day This Saturday

The City of Alameda is looking for volunteers to participate in Coastal Cleanup Day, this Saturday, September 15, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Participants remove trash and debris from the shoreline.

The event is planned in partnership with the East Bay Regional Park District; volunteers can pre-register by visiting www.EBParks.org or calling 888-327-2757 and selection option two.

Participants can also register on Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Shoreline Drive and Park Street.

Additionally, several marinas around town will host their own events, starting at 9:00 a.m. Interested parties should call these marinas directly.

The City of Alameda said that last year, nearly 600 volunteers participated.
