In conjunction with the Alameda Police Department, Bridgestone is offering a free teen driving clinic this weekend at Alameda Point.
The training focuses on vehicle dynamics, accident avoidance, smart driving choices and eliminating distracted driving.
The half-day program is intended to equip new, young, drivers with the requisite skills to manage on today’s roadways. The sessions combine classroom instruction with hands-on driving exercises.
Parents can learn too. The program encourages awareness of how adults’ driving behavior can influence their teens’ driving practices, and teaches the importance of clarifying and enforcing responsible driving rule for teens.
Location: Alameda Point Naval Air Station, Navy Way.
Dates: September 22 and 23
Four (4) half-day sessions for families to choose from; starting at 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each day.
