The Alameda firefighters union is backing Ashcraft, Chen and Cambra for Alameda City Council.
According to the filings, the union gave $500 each to the campaign committee for those city council candidates.
The union also reported raising $5,479.64 from its membership from July 1 through September 30th of this year, and $16,295.48 from members cumulatively for the year.
In 2010, the firefighters spent heavily through campaign contributions or direct expenditures to elect Mayor Marie Gilmore, Vice-Mayor Rob Bonta and Councilmember Lena Tam.
Heading into the last few weeks before the election, the union’s political action committee has a war chest of over $61,300.
deja vu … of the worst kind
Thanks.
Now I know – No vote for Ashcraft, Chen and Cambra.
That was easy.
