Alameda Police Warn on Daytime Residential Burglaries

Alameda Police are warning residents about a rash of daytime residential burglaries.

The Alameda Police Department is warning residents today regarding a rash of daytime residential burglaries in the area of Willow Street to Regent Street and Otis Street to Pacific Avenue.

Police say they have a suspect – a black male in his early 20s, approximately 6′ tall with a slender build, clean cut with short, black, braided hair. He was reportedly seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans and carrying a red backpack.

Whomever has burglarized the homes has gained access through unlocked windows, and has targeted primarily jewelry and electronics.

Alameda Police are reminding residents to secure all doors and windows, and to set burglar alarm systems if you have one.
