Flu Activity on the Rise

Flu activity in California is on the rise, according to the California Department of Public Health. But there’s no shortage of flu vaccine in Alameda County, according to the County public health department’s website.

“California is seeing an accelerated increase in flu activity over the past few weeks,” said Dr. Ron Chapman, director of the California Department of Public Health. “You can help prevent further spread of the flu by getting a flu shot.”

The influenza season typically peaks in February or March, says the state health department.

You can look for a flu vaccine clinic on the Alameda County Department of Public Health’s website.
