Alameda City Manager John Russo has named Alameda Police Department Captain Paul Rolleri Interim Chief of Police effective June 1st, the day that the current chief retires.

Captain Rolleri is 49 years old and was born and raised in Alameda. He attended Otis School, St. Philip Neri Elementary, and graduated from Alameda High School in 1981. He has two children, a 19 year-old son and 17 year-old daughter.

Rolleri attended then Cal State University Hayward, where he earned a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice Administration in 1985.
