The board also approved a $2.8 million transfer to the City of Alameda’s general fund.
In April, the board approved a 3.25 percent average rate hike, as part of an overall 5 year plan previously provided by the utility.
Nontheless, the utility says that its customers pay less for electricity than most Californians, and as of January, roughly 22 percent less than residential customers in San Leandro and Oakland.
Keeping up with the Jones family?? So, because Alameda rate payers pay less than other communities, this becomes justification for a rate increase??
