The City of Alameda is holding an architectural design public meeting to discuss a proposal for a new Fire Station #3 which would include an Emergency Operations Center.

Last year, Alameda voters rejected Measure C, a 30-year sales tax that would have funded, among other items, replacement of the fire station and the emergency operations center.

Nonetheless, the City of Alameda has moved forward with what it calls a “long-term project” to modernize the fire station, having held three community meetings to discuss building layout on the property, traffic and noise concerns.

Now, a fourth meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mastick Senior Center, 1155 Santa Clara Avenue.
