
The City of Alameda is encouraging the public to participate in another round of Alameda Point planning.
The U.S. Navy formally transferred ownership of much of the former base to the City of Alameda in late June.
Now that the City of Alameda owns the land, it is pushing forward to prepare a slew of planning documents, including an Environmental Impact Report and a Master Infrastructure Plan, targeting completion by January of next year.
City staff have published a schedule of various upcoming public hearings and meetings that form part of the community input process.
There is also an Alameda Point specific planning website.
Tomorrow night, City Council will review an updated vision statement and planning guide for the work at Alameda Point.
