According to the letter, Alameda Unified School District officials asked to postpone their legally required facilities response for the new school year from March 1st to March 26th.
This will prevent the school district from presenting a “dummy” offer to meet the earlier deadline, and give CLCS officials a chance to tour the Woodstock School campus on Third Street, Ms. Uhler wrote.
It’s likely that both ACLC and Nea will move to the Woodstock campus.
A longer term goal of the negotiations, Ms. Uhler wrote, is to secure an ongoing site for the two charter schools to avoid the disruptions that might occur with year-by-year Proposition 39 site negotations.
