Upcoming City Council, Alameda Municipal Power Meetings

Alameda City Hall watchers will be busy next week with back-to-back meetings of the Public Utilities Board, which oversees Alameda Municipal Power, and Alameda City Council.

On Monday, the 17th, at 7:00 p.m. in Alameda City Council chambers, the Public Utilities Board meeting is up. Along with the usual General Manager and other reports will be a special presentation on the utility’s plans to upgrade electrical infrastructure at Alameda Point to prepare for future development such as a planned Department of Veterans Affairs clinic, and the general redevelopment of the former naval base.

Then, on Tuesday, Alameda City Council will meet in the same chambers to cover a lengthy agenda, including a a new lease for Google/Makani Power at Alameda Point, and the proposed land swap with the Alameda Unified School District.

Both meetings are at Alameda City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.
