Alameda actress and environmental advocate Jessica Robinson, a participant of The Climate Reality Project, completed a local climate change expedition yesterday that included presentations, a tour of local recycling stations, and a panel session.
Previously, Robinson initiated a business composting program in Alameda to divert compost-ready materials produced by restaurants and other businesses from landfills. She also produced and starred in a short film, “Recycle Woman.”
The day-long event yesterday began and ended at South Shore Shopping Center, which has joined her composting program.
Robinson is also working on wrapping up a short documentary on climate change for the Climate Reality Project.
