Former Interim City Manager Ann Marie Gallant has filed an appeal regarding a court decision on her lawsuit against the City of Alameda.
The notice of appeal was filed April 9th.
In February, her case was dismissed before the facts were tried; the City of Alameda was successful in leveraging statutory law originally intended to protect the public’s free speech rights, so-called SLAPP law, to dismiss the case.
The appeal may be dismissed, however, if Gallant’s new attorney’s, Stone and Graves of Gold River, California, don’t correct a rules of the court technical error, noticed by the court on April 10th, within 15 days.
The case number is RG11590505.
