The City of Alameda is formally requesting proposals for large tracts of land at Alameda Point.

The City of Alameda formally invited developers today to make proposals for developing two tracts of land at Alameda Point.

City officials released a media statement requesting qualifications from developers for two pieces of property at the former Naval Air Station Alameda, now Alameda Point.

The first property represents a 68-acre residential and commercial mixed-use project near the former location of the Main Street gate to the base, and includes portions of the Seaplane Lagoon.

The second, 82-acre site, is adjacent to the Seaplane Lagoon and is intended primarily for commercial development.
