Myla, a 10-year old student at Ruby Bridges elementary school needs a bone marrow match.

There will be a bone marrow match drive at Ruby Bridges school tomorrow to find a suitable transplant match for a 10-year old student there.

Myla, the student, has been diagnosed with myeloid sarcoma, a form of acute myeloid leukemia, and needs a bone marrow transplant.

So far, no suitable donor has been found for her.

Myla is Filipina and will likely need a donor of Asian descent.

Participants in the donor drive must be between the ages of 18 and 44 years old and in good health.

The drive will be at Ruby Bridges Elementary School, 351 Jack London Avenue, Alameda, Saturday, May 17, 2014, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
