Alameda’s Recreation and Parks Department has announced its program for the new school year.

The City of Alameda Recreation and Parks Department is accepting sign-ups for its Recreation Afterschool Program for the upcoming school year.

The supervised recreation program is for boys in girls in the first through fifth grades; the program meets every school day at dismissal time.

Families are added to the program on a first-come, first-served basis.

The program Bayfarm, Edison, and Otis schools is currently wait-listed.

There is also a program at Longfellow Park serving Kindergartners attending Maya Lin and Paden schools.
