According to a media statement provided by CLCS, the board of directors had planned to conduct a nationwide search for the role, but yielded to Executive Director Patti Wilczek’s recommendation, and support from staff, to appoint Moore.
Moore was appointed to the role in an interim capacity last year after the ouster of then-Lead Facilitator Maafi Gueye.
According to the school’s website, Moore has a Masters in Education, a multi-subject teaching credential, and a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Youth Services and Administration.
She also worked in the past at The Academy of Alameda, another local charter school.
