A woman was arrested yesterday after a morning-commute auto crash at the mouth of the Webster tube, into Alameda.
Alameda Police Department Lt. Jill Ottaviano told Action Alameda News that the accident occurred at about ten minutes before 8am, and that there were two cars involved, “just prior to entering Alameda. Both drivers exited their respective cars after the collision and after several minutes the responsible driver fled on foot and left her car in the tube. The other driver attempted to follow in his car, but was unsuccessful. The responsible driver was arrested approximately one hour after the collision, after APD units circulated and looked for the driver. She also had a warrant. No injuries reported.”
Ottaviano did not release the name of the woman arrested.
