Next Wednesday, the City of Alameda Transportation Commission will hear recommendations from the Public Works Department to address parking issues around the Harbor Bay Ferry terminal.

Public Works has come up with two recommendations so far:

  • Conditional changes to Adelphian Way with the intent to revert to two-hour parking. These include the conversion of twenty-four 2-hour parking spaces to unrestricted parking spaces, maintaining seven 2-hour parking spaces, and prohibiting all parking from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The conditions allow for portions, or all, of the unrestricted parking to be reverted as potential future improvements decrease the need for unrestricted parking on Adelphian Way.
  • Add twenty-five unrestricted parking spaces to Harbor Bay Parkway and prohibit parking from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Full details from the public works study is available online at: https://alameda.legistar.com/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=2244461&GUID=EA4658B6-DF36-409E-8B64-204387562457&Options=&Search=

The Transportation Commission meets on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 7:00 pm, at Alameda City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue, Third Floor, City Council Chambers.

The meeting is open to the public.
