Alameda Police Chief Paul Rolleri is planning a series of town hall-style community meetings over the coming months, the first of which will be this Thursday, September 10th.

The location of the meetings will rotate through different locations across the city so as to be near different neighborhoods.

At these informal meetings, Rolleri will answer questions, provide crime prevention information and help residents connect with the police department’s social media sites.

The first meeting is on Thursday, September 10, in the multi-purpose room at Ruby Bridges Elementary School from 6:30pm to 8pm.

On the face of it, this is a great idea. But why is the Chief’s meeting scheduled at the same time as the bimonthly RAB meeting and the Community Workshop at Encinal High on the Central Avenue Project?
